So, what's good reading lately...?

I have tremendously enjoyed the following books recently:

Everything Belongs by Richard Rohr
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle
Centering Prayer and Inner Awakening by Cynthia Bourgeault.

Hi Dries,
Good to be back on the new eChurch!
I am still studying A New Earth and finding great value there. Will update my current reading list soon...

Hi Juan!

Good to have you back... Apologies for having to rejoin.

I am so glad you are finding value in A New Earth. I am reading and rereading Eckhart's books at present. So liberating.

Any case, keep in touch. And send us that reading list sooner rather than later.

This is one of the better books on leadership practice that I've read in the past couple of years... Just ordered her older book also: Fierce Conversations.

Sean Tucker is the guy who got me into Rob Bell, Shane Claiborne, Richard Rohr, Phillip Yancey (currently loving Soul Survivor), Brian McLaren and Don Miller to name a few. After having been fired from his role as a pastor, partly because he read what has come to be known as "emergent church" literature,  he decided never to rejoin the church as a paid pastor and instead wrote his own book last year, Unlearning. I recommend the read.

Wow... Thanks Sarah. That looks interesting. And, right here in CT?!

Awesome video work. I will be sure to get my hands on the book. Where can you get it (I was hoping it would be available as a Kindle book, but no...).

Talk soon,

Dries

Hi Dries,

You can find more info on the book and where/how to order it from http://www.unlearning.co.za. Sean mentioned bringing out a kindle version soon , so I would drop him a line for more info about that.

Chat soon

Just read a brilliant book of challenging modern day parables by Peter Rollins. It's called 'The Orthodox Heretic'. Definitely worth tracking down.

Recently finished A Million Miles and a Thousand Years by Donald Miller. Loved it. Its a book on how to live a better story and you don't need to be a Christian to enjoy and get something out of it.
